Facial Vein Solutions
One of the more common signs of aging is the appearance of veins. Spider veins or telangiectasia, show on the face, chest, neck and legs. They are small blood vessels that surface, becoming visible due to a number of reasons. From a simple stimulant such as blushing or spicy food, to more complex issues such as hormones, excessive sun and cortisone medications, spider veins appear. While their function is unknown, their coloration makes the skin look blemished and unhealthy. Most patients are eager to be rid of them.
Ageless Remedies Medical Spa of Alpharetta has two successful approaches in removing spider veins--the Candela GentleYag Laser vein treatments and sclerotherapy injections.
The Candela laser treatments involve pulses of light coming into contact with the skin and closing the vessel. The color of telangiectasia is usually pink, red or purple, so the bandwidth of the laser light is absorbed. This shrinks the veins without damaging the surrounding skin.
Sclerotherapy injections make use of a micro needle to inject a solution into the vein. This causes the vessel to turn white and is absorbed into the surrounding tissue.
Each option will require three to four treatments. The veins may return later and need to be touched up.
